Sariyya currently doing an internship at the World Trade Organization came back to share her experience with our current students on 4th December 2018. She explained what it entails to work in the Secretariat of the WTO as an intern. She also made a presentation on the WTO disciplines on Trade in Agriculture, her area of interest.

« The LLM in International Business Law was a wonderful opportunity not only to receive a dual qualification but also to experience the wonders of studying abroad. It opened my mind and allowed me to mature and grow as a person, and intellectually. I did not have a strong base in the French language, but this was not a problem. The lectures were in English and the university provided classes in French of all levels. Rent was extremely reasonable in Lyon and the French Government provide rent assistance to all students studying in France. This LLM not only prepares you on an intellectual level, but also allows you to travel and experience different cultures, and have fun at the same time. »

Un enseignement de qualité, un réel suivi et pas seulement sur le plan académique. Je n’ai jamais ressenti une telle attention dans une formation auparavant.

Jens chose this program as it fitted it résumé. He wanted to specialize in trade and corporate in Germany. He said that this program gave him ‘the chance to have a deeper look’ at those issues. He also added that ‘international law firms appreciate’ the fact that students have studied abroad.

He’s now doing an internship at the United Nations in New York. He said that “from a career perspective, I was always interested in the cross border aspect of law and the LL.M. program at the UCLy certainly opened those doors for me. Right now I am working at the United Nations as a legal trainee, which had everything to do with my international academic experiences. »

Suivre le programme de préparation aux examens Cambridge proposé par L’ESTRI a été une expérience très enrichissante.

La Faculté de Droit propose une formation à taille humaine, ce qui favorise la proximité et l’échange avec nos professeurs. Elle impose aux étudiants un rythme de travail et de réels exercices juridiques (dissertation, simulation de révision de la constitution…). Ces derniers constituent de véritables tremplins à leur réussite professionnelle.

Je me suis inscrit à l’UCLy à la suite d’une réorientation. Mon choix était d’abord motivé par le cadre annécien et la bonne réputation de la Faculté de Droit. Je pense aujourd’hui que c’était une très bonne décision car j’ai passé trois excellentes années de Licence ! A l’issue de ce parcours, j’ai eu accès à plusieurs mentions de Masters dans le domaine qui me passionnait le plus, soit le droit du numérique.
