Doing business in an international context entails risks. Along with the risks, corporations do face legal and ethical dilemmas.
Future lawyers need to understand the requirements connected to Ethics & Corporate Governance and Ethics & Compliance.
In relation to corporate governance, focus is given to directors & board structure, directors’ performance & remuneration, risk management and shareholders’ participation. In relation to compliance, one needs to consider bribery and corruption as well as international conventions dealing with these issues.
