The Department of Law, which was founded in 1875, is based at the Saint-Paul campus in Lyon and the Alpes Europe campus in Annecy. Every year, it welcomes students who wish to join a dynamic and open university community where students, lecturers, researchers and administrative staff from different disciplines work together to achieve success and self-fulfilment.
The Department of Law aims to train quality jurists (lawyers, notaries, magistrates, and company lawyers) but also critical thinkers, who will be active in the development of our society. The objective is to develop the theoretical, technical, and methodological skills of our students, but also to orient them towards human training, international openness, and the understanding of developments, particularly technological developments.
